January to October 2009: Billie Travalini was named Board Member and Program Scholar for Delmarva Discussions: a reading/writing series funded by a National Humanities of the Arts grant.
The 11th International Conference of the Short Story in English has invited Travalini to read one of her short stories in Toronto, Canada, summer, 2010.
She is currently chairman and editor of a forthcoming anthology of interviews and poems by poet laureates - state and national - who are members of the National League of American Pen Woman.
Travalini's short story, "Rush Limbaugh and the French Apple Pie" was published in the March, 2009 edition of Another Chicago Magazine.
Co-founder of M.O.T Open Mic Poetry, which meets at 1 p.m., the fourth Sunday of each month, at the Gibby Center, Middletown. A short workshop and reading by the featured poet is followed by an open mic. The cut off for poetry submissions for The Best of M.O.T. Poetry at the Gibbyis June 1, 2010.

August 15, 2009, Coordinated the 2nd Annual Lewes Creative Artists' Conference, Lewes Public Library, Lewes, DE. Over 100 people participated in workshops in fiction and nonfiction, poetry, photography, pastels, and traditional and publishing.
